Ingredients:
1 cup Heartland Craft Grains polenta
4 cups liquid (water, milk or combo)
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp butter
1/4 Parmesan cheese
Directions:
- Bring liquid to a boil. Slowly add polenta corn while actively stirring to prevent clumping.
- Simmer on low heat for 45 minutes to 1.5 hours until soft. Stir every 5-10 minutes to prevent sticking to the bottom of the pan.
- Polenta is done when corn loses its grittiness and softens. Polenta will stick to itself, pulling away from the sides of the pan.
- Add salt, butter and Parmesan toward the end.
